  • Braishfield joins the Target Markets Program Administrators Association (TMPAA).
  • Braishfield secures a FIFTH Lloyd’s of London line slip. This particular line slip targets Employment Practices Liability Insurance addressing the wide variety of claims commonly brought against private companies by employees, including alleging wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation and other employment practices violations.

    Braishfield secures contract with Everest Indemnity. This appointment will allow Braishfield to offer Florida commercial property limits far in excess of current capabilities.

    Braishfield secures contract with ACE / Westchester. Our association with Ace / Westchester will allow Braishfield to expedite the rating and issuance of non-profit Director’s & Officer’s liability insurance. This program is available on a national basis.

    Braishfield secures a fourth Lloyd’s of London lines slip. This casualty line slip targets Lessor’s Risk accounts as well as Gas Stations, Convenience Stores and Carwashes. This program will be available in select states.

    Braishfield secures a third Lloyd’s of London line slip. This third line slip will specifically target Miscellaneous Professional Liability in all 50 states.

    Braishfield is awarded Brokerage office of the year at the Brown & Brown annual sales meeting, held in Orlando.

    Braishfield secures contract with Fireman’s Fund. Through this appointment Braishfield makes another first class market available to its agents. Targeted classes of business include Restaurants, Office buildings, Hotels / Resorts, Golf & Country Clubs. This program is available countrywide.

    Braishfield secures a second Lloyd’s of London line slip. This line slip will specifically target Florida property. Property valued up to $2.5 million per location is eligible and wind coverage is included.

    Gray Hopkins, Senior Vice President of Marketing is pleased to announce the hiring of Mark Wilson as National Director of Sales. Gray adds, "Mark brings a tremendous amount of experience and contacts to further expand all of our products throughout the United States.     Braishfield renews Lloyd’s of London property line slip. A key element of the renewal this year was doubling the allowable per risk total insured value. Maximum allowable values were increased to $10 million per location when including wind and $10 million per building if wind is excluded.
    Braishfield’s commercial property line slip is available in 48 states.

    Braishfield secures contract with Safeco Insurance Company for national distribution of Safeco commercial products. Initially Braishfield will offer Safeco products in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Colorado.

    Braishfield secures contract with AIG for distribution of the AIG Commercial Umbrella product nationally.

    Braishfield and CNA contract for multi-state distribution of CNA small business products. The CNA Connect package product line contemplates over 2000 classifications and is available in Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas.

    January 13, 2005 Brown & Brown, Inc. (NYSE: BRO), today announced the acquisition of substantially all of the assets related to the commercial business, including program and wholesale brokerage business, of the Orlando, Florida operations of Braishfield Associates, Inc. by a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc.
    The management team and commercial underwriting staff located in the Braishfield Orlando office remain unchanged. Braishfield operates as an independent stand alone profit center for Brown & Brown and will continue to operate as Braishfield Associates, Inc.
